If we are smart enough with how we respond to trauma, the aftermath of it is an experience of awe. The self is led to a place where it stops controlling. It turns its gazes to that which is vast and overwhelming, and from the position of gratitude, appreciates its magnificence.
We pursue wealth because people think wealth, our goods will somehow protect us and we end up discovering that the goods don’t protect us. You have to protect the goods.
Every human on this planet is capable of love and benevolence. We must be deliberate about seeing this in the culturally prescribed ways of being. We must see the goodness behind the apparently offensive.
