Alexa and Call Centre Hub Linking Experiment

I’ve heard that if you get links in from popular websites you get better rankings.
So, I thought I’d put it to the test.
I’ve become a sales solutions partner at Call Centre Hub. Tilly Davies, CEO has done an excellent job of getting great rankings and ranking high on Alexa.
I’ve added a bunch of articles to Call Centre Hub’s Sales Success Guides with links back to my website.
I’ve also linked Call Centre Hub’s logo onto every page with a link through to its website.
This is where my website sat on 28 May 2014.
This is where it sits today (2 July 2014)
I notice that there are now 10 sites linking to www.jacquesdevilliers.co.za as opposed to 3 on 28 May 2014.
So, I’m not sure if that has skewed the results.
But, either way, I’m happy with the way it is working.
I also checked the keyword ‘sales training’ on google.co.za and it appears I’m #2 on Chrome at least (and, yes, I did log out of my Google account). But, then I’m on the 2nd page on Safari. I can never figure out where the hell I actually am in real terms in the rankings.
I’ll check in again in a month and post a photo of my Alexa progress.
