Contributive Sales Systems

80% of your sales team is only hitting 42% of its target – Chally Group

If that’s you, then you may just have landed on the right resource at the right time.

There’s only 2 ways to live in the sales world – you’re either predatory or contributory.

Sales Training in South Africa

Clearly, the way we as sales professionals have been taught to sell has generally been predatory … target-driven and commission-driven.

This does violence to the customer because we’re in it for ourselves.

Patently, being in it for ourselves doesn’t work (commission)… if it did, we’d all be hitting 100% of our target, wouldn’t we?

So, if commission doesn’t motivate us, what will?

Contributory selling is an attempt to address this vexing question.

It is my belief that the more we serve our customers and set them up for success, the more we succeed too.

To feel fulfilled in this (sales) work that we do, we need to aspire to something bigger than a pay cheque (commission).

Of course, the ‘security’ piece is important. I get that without it, we can’t pay our bonds, put kids through school or feed ourselves.

But when it comes to long-term happiness and success, there’s more than just ‘security’… there’s also power, fulfilment and harmony.

I’ve been studying and applying arcane knowledge, spirituality and philosophy to the world of sales and marketing through speaking, writing. consulting, coaching and training for the last 20 years.

After two decades, 1 200+ presentations and 7,2-million+ words penned; I’ve learned a couple of lessons along the way…

These may be useful to you.

Article marketing can boost your business

Whether you run a business totally online, or you operate a brick-and-mortar business and have a supplemental website, you need to implement article marketing. If you aren’t marketing your business with articles, you’re missing a huge chunk of the marketing pie. Let me give you a few reasons why. Reason

An embryonic democracy produces Jacob Zuma

I’m not a fan of populist leaders like Jacob Zuma. I can only hope that he has some savvy, logical advisers. If he has a bunch of sycophantic acolytes advising him, then we’re in the dwang. A thought came to mind after he was elected president of the ANC …

Sticking to a sales script could lose you the plot

Some sales people are almost robotic when it comes to keeping to a script. They’ve been taught in a certain way and will stick to it, come hell or high water. Unfortunately, their EQ (emotional quotent) is not always up to scratch. Here’s the story: Walking into my local Wimpy

ANC power struggle will sink the DA and IFP

The ANC power struggle doesn’t auger well for opposition parties. The ANC is a party at war with itself and will not be able to function as a unified force after its Limpopo conference. Whether Zuma or Mbeki wins, one thing is for sure the ANC is a divided force.

I don’t care how much you know until I know how much you care

I’ve got to be honest, I’ve always felt that this EQ (emotional quotent) fed to us by Daniel Goleman and his acolytes was just another way of ripping money out of our pockets. But with the recent events in the ANC, Nick Dennis and the bread fixing debacle and the
